Regional Marketing Campaign, Web Site Up and Running

The Commonwealth Regional Council's (CRC) marketing campaign is up and running, and the Council's branding efforts are nearly complete. The new CRC web site has been live since early Spring, with only a few items left to make it complete. In addition, all Council correspondence going forward will be on new letterhead.

The marketing and branding campaign, started in 2007 with the help of Roanoke-based The O'Connor Group, is intended to re-brand the CRC and the region it serves. The Council will keep its name, but the web site and marketing materials will emphasize the "Virginia's Heartland" brand (in keeping  with the region's long-established identity). The web site and marketing materials will, among other things, challenge prospective new businesses to "Imagine the Possibilities" created by locating here.

The CRC's web site now has a new address:
http://www.virginiasheartland.org. The new web site combines components of the old CRC web site--in a new, easier to navigate format--with information about the region including demographics, quality of life, education, potential business sites, and other information.

Also included on the site are links to each of the CRC's members (six counties, the Town of Farmville, Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College) at the bottom of each page plus other local, state, and national  links which are accessible from the "About Us" page.
