Change planned for newsletter format
With the Commonwealth Regional Council's (CRC) marketing campaign moving full speed ahead, there have been some changes at the Council. One of those changes is a new web site, with a new look and a new brand. Consequently, we felt this would be a good time to change the format of our newsletter.
If all goes as planned, this will be the last issue of the Regional Reporter in paper format. Going forward, future issues of the newsletter will be in electronic format, available on the CRC web site. The newsletter will be sent to individuals on our e-mail distribution list, and available to other interested persons through the web site. On behalf of the CRC staff, I hope that you will continue to enjoy and benefit from the Regional Reporter.
Thanks to everyone for their support
Many of you are aware that I was seriously injured in a car accident on Friday, April 4. I am back at work, and on the mend, and hope to be completely healed by the late summer.
I have not seen the car, and don't remember the accident (I passed out before it happened). But I have spoken with people who did see the accident and/or the car afterward, and I can say without a doubt that my family and I were lucky. An angel was watching over us that morning. This could have been much worse.
To all of you who have offered prayers and support over the past weeks, I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks. There are way too many of you to mention in this space, but I did want to give special thanks to a few individuals for what they have done during my ordeal. They include Danny LeSueur, Becky Carter, Ervin Toney, Mayor Sam Ranson, Danny Fore, Randy and Mary Hickman, Andre' Gilliam, Bruce and Jill Falls, and the members of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church (located just north of Dillwyn).
To those folks, and to everyone else who offered prayers, get-well wishes, and moral support - On behalf of my family, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot describe how touched we are by your support, or how valuable your kindness has been during these recent weeks.
