Quality of Life
All six counties in Virginia's Heartland are classified as in attainment of the National Ambient Air Standards. The region can accommodate considerable industrial expansion and still maintain high standards of environmental quality. Water, timber and land are in abundance. Much of the region is forested, and several major rivers flow through the area.
